The central kitchen for Head Start Child Development Council, Inc. has a staff of 18 and serves 7,000 meals per day. Meals are not only provided to all of the Head Start children in our program, but also to seniors in our community through the HSCDC Senior Meals program.

The agency's 8 transporters deliver 85,000 meals a month throughout San Joaquin County.

The nutrition committee, comprised of Head Start parents, meets once a month to approve menu items and discuss other items related to food services.  If you are a parent and would like to participate in the nutrition committee, please ask your child's teacher for more information.
